Secret Sounds is please to announce Tokyo Police Club will hit Australian shores for the first time next month on a whirlwind East Coast tour. The Canadian foursome will be joined on the bill by very special guests, Brisbanes Yves Klein Blue. Tokyo Police Club's debut full length album Elephant Shell has been exceeding expectations beyond the success of their previous mini-album A lesson in Crime. Described by vocalist/bassist David Monks as "wided eyed post punk with a tendancy to get over excited - so much that someone has to come and tell it to settle down," Elephant Shell sees the band somewhat more seasoned after hundreds of live shows worldwide. Recorded in Connecticut with Peter Katies (The Grates, Interpol, The National) and Canada's Jon Drew, Elephant Shell delivers on all the promise of Tokyo Police Clubs earlier work.
